Ordentliches Hotel. Kostenloses Parken für Hotelgäste, und in zwei Minuten ist man zu Fuß an der Topattraktion Fremont Street. Der Pool in der dritten Etage ist schön, das inkludierte Frühstück – na ja. Unschlagbar ist das günstige Angebot für ein Bier mit Hotdog.

Wir haben mehrere Tage hintereinander an einem der Blackjack-Tische mit niedrigem Mindesteinsatz gespielt. Die Dealer waren durchweg nett. Jeff ist einfach cool und „vom alten Schlag“ – im positiven Sinn. Auch Dalton und Daniel waren wirklich sehr nett. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Hallo liebe Vegas-Fans, hier ein kleiner Einblick ins Downtown Grand. Ich war schon in vielen Hotels in Vegas, aber dieses Hotel schlägt sie alle – im negativen Sinn. Schlechter kann ein Hotel kaum sein. Fast alle Mitarbeiter sind frech und lustlos. Die Spitze hat der Barkeeper Al abgeschossen: Er ist an Frechheit und Respektlosigkeit nicht zu überbieten. Dieses Hotel sollte man unbedingt meiden.

Nein, jedenfalls nicht, wenn man im „Casino Tower“ untergebracht ist: abgewohnt und seit Langem nicht renoviert. Der Teppichboden hat Flecken, das Mobiliar ist beschädigt beziehungsweise zerkratzt. Es gibt keine Minibar oder andere Kühlmöglichkeit und keinen Wasserkocher. Der Pool war um 18:40 Uhr nicht mehr zugänglich, obwohl hinter der Rezeption mit einer Öffnung bis 19 Uhr geworben wird. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist schlecht. Die Kaution war nach vier Tagen noch nicht zurücküberwiesen. Erfreulich waren nur der sehr freundliche Rezeptionist, die Parkgarage und die Jazzbar.

Das Hotel an sich war sehr sauber, nur unser Zimmer wurde nach einer Übernachtung nicht gereinigt. Angeblich hätten wir die Reinigung bestellen sollen – echt jetzt? Ich habe so etwas noch nie erlebt! Auf Nachfrage haben wir gerade so Handtücher bekommen. Der Pool ist gut und groß genug für die Gäste. Allerdings durften wir die Sonnenschirme nicht aufklappen. Schade, bei der Hitze.
