This is one of the most popular trails in the park, it's out and back or can be a loop, only 1.4 miles. If you have a car wait for you at next stop, it's only 0.7 mile. It's fun and relaxing hike, almost flat, and many picture spots. I came early since I wanted to avoid crowd and have quiet hike by myself.

5 stars for 5 reasons 1. Beautiful scenic route! Stunning during the day and right before sunset. 2. Rock climbing super fun and challenging. Just be careful and know what you’re doing when setting up top rope. 3. Tons of parking when we got there on a Friday 4. Staff were nice and helpful in answering our questions 5. This place is about 15-20 mins away from retail stores
Beautiful area in Red Rock. Calico Hills is one of the first stops when you take the Scenic Loop from the Red Rock Visitor Center. You can just park your car and explore the hiking trail which is well marked. I definitely recommend to hike this trail for the best views. It's not very far until the next car stop (less than a mile) and you can always turn back the same way. When the sun is going down, you'll have beautiful light for pictures. If you're lucky you can also spot some (small and non-dangerous) wildlife.
The views are to die for and the mountain climbing and trails go on forever. So beautiful. A must on your list when in Vegas.
Nature’s playground. Many opportunities to go off trail. The strawberry and cream rock is grippy yet smooth and so much fun to climb.
