Very disappointing experience and honestly felt like a waste of $100+ USD. I booked this helicopter tour expecting amazing views of the Las Vegas Strip, but I was assigned a back seat. Even with a corner seat, the visibility was extremely poor. While flying north along the Strip, my side mostly faced houses and residential areas instead of the main attractions. On the way back to the airport, the pilot again kept the Strip mainly on the opposite side, so I missed the views I had paid for. Wedding ceremony on the canyon floor: The private helicopter takes off from the Strip, flies over Hoover Dam and Lake Mead and lands deep in the Grand Canyon.
The West Rim is the only part of the Grand Canyon where helicopters are allowed to land on the canyon floor – there, a civil officiant conducts your wedding ceremony, with a photographer, bouquet, boutonnière, and champagne. Round-trip limousine transfers to the terminal are usually included, as is the canyon permit. Quoted prices range from around $3,650 to $5,999 depending on the provider, generally for the couple and up to two additional passengers. Sunrise and sunset slots can be booked for an extra charge. The $102 marriage license from the Marriage License Bureau in Clark County is always separate and must be obtained before the ceremony.

It was an incredible experience and so worth it. Instead wasting the time while driving to Grand Canyon you can see so much from the above. The trip is comfortable, very good sound proof headsets, good AC in helicopter. We did Grand Celebration tour so you have also a stop inside Grand Canyon with beautiful views and have some snacks and drinks. One of the best parts was our pilot Jimmy, very knowledgeable and funny guy it made the experience even more remarkable. If you have a chance to ask for the pilot, ask for Jimmy.
As a Travel Agent I highly recommend Papillion as your go to in Las Vegas for tours. We had an amazing time, our pilot Miquel was professional, knowledgeable, full of information and made the trip very interesting and easy. Absolutely loved this tour and the day. We did the afternoon fly to the canyon, over the Hoover dam which includes the sunset/ evening flight over the strip all lit up. It was exceptional. Jackson was fantastic. If you’re lucky enough to get him as your pilot and tour guide you’ll have the most brilliant experience. The tour itself is next level, the views wow. We did the VIP Grand Canyon Heli, Boat & Skywalk tour. It was amazing, our pilot was Duncan and he perfectly mixed humor with comfort around safety procedures. The visit was amazing the boat was terrific and the best part! Highly recommend! One area for improvement was communication prior to the tour. I had to reach out to confirm important details and I think it would be helpful to include the tour info on the website which I’ve added here.
