This place is really cool, looking. Actually is very hot, bring plenty of water. They do have lots of short trails. You can walk down and see cool stuff. Bighorn sheep wander around close by. Only about 45 minute drive from Las Vegas makes a great day trip. You wanna do something besides gamble OK for the whole family

Valley of Fire is one of the most breathtaking places to visit in Nevada. The red rock formations, endless desert views, and peaceful atmosphere make it feel like another planet. Every stop inside the park offers something unique, from scenic drives to incredible hiking trails and natural arches. What I loved most was how quiet and beautiful everything felt, especially during sunrise and sunset when the colors of the rocks become even more intense. It’s a perfect escape from the busy Las Vegas Strip and a must-visit for anyone who enjoys nature, photography, or simply amazing landscapes. …
Short detour from a trip via I-15 was well worth the extra time. Amazingly beautiful landscape changes around every curve. I could probably have driven it more quickly if I had not stopped for so many photo ops. The colors and the combination of the wind and rain erosion take one's breath away. Very nice visitors' center with plenty of information on the park, a first-rate gift shop, and clean restrooms
